Fairy Garden Pocket Album

Instructions for the Pocket Albums~Inspired from Pinterest for the book base & added my own twist of pockets, tags & flips can be easily adapted to any collection.

Products Used
Kaisercraft- Fairy Garden Collection Paper Pack (8 sheets two of each paper)
Kaisercraft - Fairy Garden - Wishes 12x12 Paper
Kaisercraft -  Fairy Garden Collectables Pack
Kaisercraft Flower Blooms - Dusty Roses
AC Cardstock - Robins Egg (3 sheets)
Heartfelt Creations - Classic Border Basics
Heartfelt Creations - Fleur Border Basic
Heartfelt Creations - Raindrops on Roses Die set
Satin Ribbon - Aqua
Lace
Pearl Spray
Sticky Pearl Strip
Charm & Epoxy Dome
Tools
Basic tool kit (Crafts4U trimmer, scissors, Crafts4U double sided Tape, Crafts4U Foam Tape, pencil, tweezers etc), Scor-pal, Glue, Washi Tape (for holding dies in place), Die Cutting Machine.

Instructions
Choose four sheets of paper from the paper pack for the book base, watch for particular patterns or pictures as they could end up upside down (if that's the case ie; picture 2 bottom pocket of the Romantique book, you can cover them with an outer pocket & embellishments). With some branded papers make sure you trim the bottom quote strips off before folding (keeping strips for borders).
First place paper right way up in the scor-pal, score at 6" straight down the middle, do a 1/4 turn of the paper & score at 9" repeat this for all four papers.

Turn the paper back to the right way up & fold the bottom pocket up, using a tacky glue (I prefer Dries Clear as wet glue can warp the paper) adhere the two outer edges only to form the pocket leaving the centre open, next fold the papers in half giving you four 6" x 9" panels.
Choose the order of your pattern pages (ie; the least liked patterns can get glued together), adhere the back of the first panel to the front of the second panel repeat with all panels to end up with your book base.
Using double sided tape or glue attach the quote strips along the edge of the pockets.
  • Cut eight 4½" x 6½" photo mats from the Robins Egg cardstock
  • Cut eight 4¼" x 6¼" background mats from the coordinating paper pack
  • Cut eight pieces of  ribbon 9cm in length for the pull tabs fold over & glue to the top of the photo mat in between the layers, next adhere the background mat leaving an even border to the photo mat.
  • Using the Heartfelt Creations - Classic Border Basics & leftover pieces of pattern paper & cardstock to create the extra pockets, attach the pattern piece to the cardstock piece, Do Not place right up to the fold line leave a small gap to allow folding the book shut, only gluing the left, right & bottom sides to the bottom pocket of the page leaving the lace edge open, repeat to have a total of four lacy pockets & alternate them through the book.
  • Cut a 4½" x 10" piece of Robins Egg cardstock fold in half & attach the back to the 1st page of the book to make a photo flip, attach some pattern panels to the front & inside panels including the ribbon pull tab.

  • Die cut some floral corners from the Fleur Border Basics & adhere along the two straight edges only to make a pocket for a small photos or tags & attach to your page of choice.
  • Die cut the Raindrops on Roses Die (picture 3) only adhere the straight edge until you have the photo of choice then you can apply a sticky dot or a spot of glue to secure in place.

Cut a 2" x 9" strip of patter paper & attach to cover the seam, to finish add some lace to the front & back along the edge of the seam cover.
Now you can add the embellishments of choice from the Collectables Pack, quote sheet & sticky pearls. (optional; fussy cut some butterflies from the 12"x12" butterfly paper from the Fairy Garden Collection paper pack & scatter them through the pages.
