Rosabella Flipfold Album

I created this album using the beautiful Kaisercraft Rosabella Collection, measures 7" x 8 ½" & holds approx 85 photos

This is what you need to get started
  • Rosabella Paper Pad (36), Sticker Pad, Collectables
  • Sticky Pearls,
  • Black Poster Cardstock
  • 12" x 12" Chipboard two sheets
  • 12" x 12" AC Black Cardstock (25 pack)

For the album cover cut the poster cardstock to 9" x 25" (you can use two sheets 12" cardstock together but I prefer one larger piece with no joins). Measure a 1" border on the top, left & bottom sides (don't mark right side yet).
Cut two pieces of chipboard to 7" x 8 ½" & the spine 4" x 7"  cover one side with strong hold double sided tape & burnish with a bone folder well.
Attach one of the 7" x 8 ½" chipboard pieces to the left side of the black cover cardstock along the 1" marks, leave a 1/8" space ( I made a template out of leftover chipboard) & attach the spine piece, leave another 1/8" space & attach the other 7" x 8 ½" chipboard piece, now measure 1" from the right side & trim off excess cardstock.
For the inside spine cover I use Uni-Pro Masking Paper (from Bunnings two huge rolls around $10) as I couldn't get hold of tyvek, cut 7" of the roll as it is already the right width & attach to some jak paper then gradually peel off backing paper use a ruler & smooth along the spine.
Using a bone folder gently lift & score both folds.
Trim all four corners leaving an 1/8" allowance, apply tape around the edge of the black cover & the chipboard folding the top & bottom edges first & burnish with bone folder, next press the bone folder on all of the corners to give a neat covered edge, now fold & burnish the left & right sides.

Cut a 6¼" x 19½" insert piece from the Poster Cardstock apply double sided tape (again burnish well) gradually peel off backing use a ruler & smooth as you go.
For the base pages cut five pieces of black cardstock 6¼" x 8⅞" plus a 6¼" x 5½ half page (with a ½"fold), apply strong hold double sided tape & burnish with a bone folder well, place on the score board & score at 8¼" repeat for all pieces
Optional you can punch the outer edge or leave plain, apply strong hold double sided tape & burnish with a bone folder well & attach each page to the spine like a waterfall hinge.
Now you can add a variety of flipfold pages & pockets as you go.
I have used a variety of dies & border punches.
